RIP Myron Cope
Today, February 27th, 2008 marks the passing of beloved sports news caster Myron Cope. Myron Cope passed away today at the the age of 79 because of respiratory failure. Myron became notorious for the creation of the terrible towel during 1975’s NFL playoff game between the Steelers and the Baltimore Colts. Myron Cope is an important figure in Pittsburgh and to the many Steelers fans throughout the US. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
