Forbes Lists Pittsburgh as Up-and-Coming Tech City

Forbes online has ranked Pittsburgh 6th of it’s list of Up-and-Coming tech cities. The first position went to Columbus, Ohio. Forbes notes CMU’s Robotic Institute, health care, and labs from Intel and Apple as main reasons for it’s ranking. Surprisingly, I would have guessed Pittsburgh would have been ranked higher and even within the top three.
There is allot of technology happenings occurring in our city, including Google, robotic start-ups like RedZone, web start-ups like ShowClix, military and medical software developed by Viz, and great web developers like Elliance including their Pittsburgh 2050.
Hopefully Pittsburgh can prove it should be within the top three by changing the world through technology and showing the world Pittsburgh is a great city full of innovation and creativity.
