RedZone Robotics Expanding

RedZone Robotics

Pop City has reported on RedZone Robotics move to Lawrenceville, with this move comes more hiring as RedZone fills it’s niche of developing robots to inspect the nations sewers. Founded by Red Whittaker in 1987, RedZone was originally located in Homestead.

The company was originally founded to develop robots to search nuclear accident sites but now the robots crawl through more than 1.2 million miles of water and sewer pipeline in the US. The company is continuing to improve it’s own technology while finding other solutions they be able to assist with.

Robots? In the sewers? Which future IS this??

  2. Ryan Says:

Agree, but maybe they can develop robots to clean the city streets, now that would benefit Pittsburgh and it’s neighborhoods.
